Take your lifetime of adventure to the next level as an Assistant Instructor Assistant Instructor As a PADI Assistant Instructor you can: Do everthing a Divemaster can, plus: Present academic elaboration for any PADI Diver course under the supervision of a PADI instructor. During confined water dives, present initial skills training under the direct supervision of a PADI instructor. Teach and certify PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Divers under the direction of a PADI Instructor. Independently teach the Project AWARE (nondiving) specialty course. Independently teach the Project AWARE - Coral Reef Conservation (nondiving) specialty course. Independently conduct Discover Scuba Diving in a pool or confined water environment. And much, much more. During the Assistant Instructor course, you'll develop your teaching skills in the classroom and aquatic environments. You'll also be well on your way to becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. The Assistant Instructor course is equivalent to the first three days of the PADI Instructor Development course (IDC). To enroll in the Assistant Instructor course: You must have 60 logged dives You must have Advanced and Rescue-level training Hold a Divemaster or equivalent rating Be at least 18 years of age Have proof of recent CPR & First Aid training Signup Today!
